Serving with Compassion is a value we hold and it drives us to follow Jesus’ example in Matthew 9:36. “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd”. We are called to put our faith in action, and it is foundational to who we are as a body of believers. It is that place where we are fully alive as Christians who have been transformed by God’s power and grace.
We desire to serve the church, our cities, and the world with radical compassion. Not out of the “extra in our lives, but as a lifestyle. We serve so that it might be an expression of love for God’s creation, meeting the needs of His masterpiece. Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do”. Our passion to serve and compassion for others is a response to God and a calling to us all.
Our gatherings take a lot of people to make them work, from ushers to greeters, youth and adult group leaders, our care ministry and everywhere in-between.
